Mini-Coupler Spec Sheet
Dimensions Unpackaged:
0.591" x 0.100" x 0.100" (Length x Width x Height)
(15.0mm x 2.54mm x 2.54mm)
Wavelength:
Available from 2.04 to 0.488 um
Coupling Ratio:
Anything between 0.1 and 99.9%
Polarization Isolation:
Up to -29 dB
Excess Loss:
Typically < 0.1 dB
Return Loss (Back reflection):
Typically < -70 dB
Wavelength Dependence:
Generally in a 3 dB coupler, a 1% change in wavelength will produce a 0.21 dB change in insertion loss (see following graph). A higher ratio coupler will have a flatter response. If using port A as the input, an increase in wavelength will decreawse the amount of light exiting through output X (through fiber) and increase the amount of light exiting through output Y (coupled fiber).
